Description du groupe :
Le Groupe de Travail sur la Gestion des Achats et de la Chaîne d'Approvisionnement (PSMWG) coordonne les efforts des partenaires et des pays membres du Partenariat RBM afin de résoudre tous les défis dans le domaine des achats et tout le long de la chaîne d'approvisionnement des produits antipaludiques.
Présentation générale :
Le PSMWG concentre son action sur les cinq points suivants : assistance technique aux pays ; prévisions et quantification des produits antipaludiques à des fins de prévention et de traitement, et des matières premières ; mise en œuvre de politiques d'assurance qualité / contrôle qualité, notamment en termes de choix des produits et de gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement ; diffusion des outils, des bonnes pratiques et de l'information ; plaidoyers pour la mobilisation des ressources pour les opérations nationales.

Recognising the Abuja targets and WHO recommendation for confirming diagnosis of malaria prior to treatment, the PSM WG and MMV have commissioned a report on "Tracking Progress in Scaling-Up Diagnosis and Treatment for Malaria". This report focuses on the current situation on funding availability, country estimated needs and gaps in commodity availability. The information is based on an assessment and compilation of country level data. Three key findings of the report include: the need for a common definition of 'universal coverage' for ACT and RDT Scale Up; the need to address the current imbalance between ACT and RDT procurements, where ACTs estimates are currently significantly higher than RDT estimates. This is required in order to align with current WHO guidance on confirmed diagnosis before treatment; and the importance of high-level of political and resource investments to achieve appropriate coverage of correct case management where coverage stands at relatively low rates in many countries.
